Abstract

294,317. General Electric Co., Ltd., and Kaula, R. J. May 16, 1927. Earth-continuity couplings.- A plug for connecting apparatus having exposed metallic parts to an ordinary bayonet-holder is provided with an external terminal 19 for connecting an earthing wire that leads from the exposed metallic part of the apparatus through a groove 13 in the body of the plug and is gripped therein when the cover is placed in position. The earthing wire is separated from the adjacent live terminal 4 by a shield 11. The earthing terminal 19 is connected to the bayonet-holder either by a link 18 in electric contact with the bayonet pin 7, or by a leaf spring 21, Fig. 3, (not shown), having a projection that contacts with the outer surface of the holder.
