Abstract

289,645. Taunton, J. B. May 16, 1927. Two-part couplings.-A coupling for connecting portable apparatus to an ordinary lamp holder comprises a cylindrical casing 1 carrying bayonet pins 11, and a block 4 that closes one end of the casing 1 and carries contact strips 7 that form the contacts at the outer end of the connector and pass along the exterior surface of the block 4 to terminals 8. The strips lie in depressions on the surface of the block which is secured within the casing by screws 10 and may have a flange having cut-away portions to form recesses engaging projections on the casing 1. Alternatively longitudinal projections 5 may engage flats on the block 4.
