Endless-chain push-plate or scraper and trough conveyers; push-plates, construction of. - A chain, which may be used in combination with a trough or casing for conveying, comprises a series of U-shaped links a, a<1> of which the links a are provided with projections or pivot pins c to engage sockets d in the links a<1>. The links may be connected by cross-bars b and the links and cross-bars may be provided with projections for facilitating conveying. The cross-bars and projections may be serrated or comb-like, and all the elements of the conveyer may be provided with sloping surfaces to render them self-cleaning.
