Folding seats.-A folding chair comprises a base 1. struts 2 carrying pivoted back-supporting members 3, and pairs of pivoted arms 6, 6<a>, 6<b> carrying imbricated seat panels 5, 5<a>, 5<b> having interengaging flanges limiting their outward stroke, the rear edge of the panel 5 having lugs engaging slots 4a in the back 4. The seat panels are preferably of arcuate convex form, and the arms may be strengthened by tie-rods 8.
