Boxes made from special blanks.-A box or carton is formed from a rectangular blank formed with two sets of scores and cuts at right angles, each set being parallel to a diagonal of the blank and being so made that the blank is folded solely about lines parallel to its diagonals in the formation of the box. As shown, the one set of scores 17, 18 and cuts 16, Fig. 1, are at right-angles to the other set of scores 14, 15 and cuts 13, and in forming the box, Fig. 3, the sections 19 are folded at right-angles to the sections 20 which are then turned up at right-angles to the bottom 1 to form the ends of the box, while the sections 2 are turned up at right-angles to the bottom 1 to overlap the sections 19 and form the sides of the box; the parts 21 are then turned at rightangles to the sections 19 and the sections 22, 26, 27 are turned down to close the box, the corner of the section 27 being inserted in a slot in the section 26 or the corner may be formed as a tongue 24 which is inserted in slits 12 in the section 26.
