Magnetic instruments. - The device for supporting an oscillating armature a, described ir. the parent Specification and comprising a spring b fixed to a casting c which is cut away at points k so that the central portion of the casting can be rotated by a screw h to adjust the position of the armature, is modified in that instead of cutting away the parts k, these parts are formed of phosphor bronze, brass, or other elastic metal, pieces of which are inserted in the mould prior to the casting of the part c.
