Abstract

314,656. Cluley, G., and Associated Electrical Indurtries, Ltd. June 1, 1928. Indicating and locating faults. - A fault. indicator for overhead transmission lines comprises a coil 10 carried in a housing 8 on a line insulator 1, the coil being connected in series with the line 6, 7 by leads 13, 14, and energized by fault currents to operate a gravity drop indicator 22. The indicator is latched manually behind one arm of a bell-crank lever 20 which is tripped by the iron core 11 of the coil 10.
