Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 16, 1936]. [Class 38 (v)] An earth-fault current coil 4 is connected to earth 5 and to an artificial neutral 2 formed by equal resistances 3, the ohmic value of each of which is greater than that of the coil 4. An earth on one of the lines 1 produces a resultant potential at 2, whereby a switch 7 opens the circuit 6 of a relay or holding coil, and also operates a visual or acoustic indicator.
