Abstract

314,650. McKean, J. G., and Jones, R. F. May 26, 1928. F i x e d - abutment type.-The inlet and discharge ports of a rotary pump which comprises an eccentrically-mounted rotor 4 having radiallysliding vanes housed in slots 14 inclined at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the rotor are formed in the opposite end walls 6, 7 of the pump chamber and are situated diametrically opposite each other. The pump chamber is formed by a spacing ring 16 between the end walls 6, 7, one of which 6 bears against a flange 19 in a casing member 1 and the other of which 7 is maintained against the spacing ring 16 by a screw 17 formed with a bearing head 18.
