Abstract

Colours, testing. - Apparatus for testing the .colour of solutions is described more particularly with reference to the determination of the chlorine content of water supplies. A transparent vessel containing the water to which a reagent has been added is inserted in the recess b of a cabinet a and compared with test slips inserted in recesses g. The back of the cabinet a has a recess h for the reception of a ground glass screen to facilitate comparison. The solution to be tested is thus arranged in the same field of vision as the test slips. Additional recesses are provided for a supply of test slips and a bottle containing the appropriate reagent.
