Abstract

Azo dyes which may be used for colorimetric testing (see Group III) are obtained by diazotisation and coupling respectively from 2 mols. 6-nitro-2-amino-phenol-4-sulphonic acid, from 2 mols. ortho-aminophenol-4-sulphonic acid, or from 1 mol. ortho-amino-4-phenol-sulphonic acid and 1 mol. ortho-amino-4-phenol-sulphonamide, each with 1 mol. 5 : 51-dihydroxy-7 : 71-disulpho-2 : 21-fumaric dinaphthylamide.
