Abstract

313,922. Dardelet, H. L. June 19, 1928, [Convention date]. Checking pickers and picking-sticks.- Part of a weaving loom, moving at high speed, is brought to rest by a thin blade stretched across its path and tensioned between two springs, the return movement of which is resisted by a braking effect to prevent rebound. An oscillating liquid shock absorber may be used. The member k which impels the shuttle after having effected the throw, is stopped by a flexible blade consisting of three elements a<1>, a<2>, a<3> connected by rods c to leaf springs e bolted at f to the frame of the loom. The three elements of the flexible blade are so adjusted that they come into action successively. The end of each spring is connected to the operating arm i of a one-way hydraulic shock absorber which retards the return movement.
