Abstract
313,889. General Carbonalpha Co. June 18, 1928, [Convention date]. Liquid fuel.-To a liquid fuel is added carbon obtained by the autocatalytical decomposition of carbon monoxide or of gases containing carbon monoxide. The object of the invention is to assist the combustion of the fuel and to control the speed and temperature of that combustion by using varying proportions of the carbon. For example, the proportions may be varied with the piston speed of the engine. The proportion of the carbon added to the fuel may vary from 10 per cent to 90 per cent by weight. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes a modification, combining to any fuel carbon or carbonaceous compounds having a lower ignition temperature than that of the fuel. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
