Abstract
313,830. Nilssen, J. C. Oct. 16, 1928. Spray burners.-A liquid-fuel burner comprises two circular cast-iron discs 1 formed with circular channels 4 to which liquid' fuel and the spraying agent are supplied through pipes 13, 14 respectively, three thin plates 10, 11, 12 arranged between the discs 1, a central fixing bolt 8, and a pin 5 which is secured eccentrically in the lower disc 1 and projects through holes in the plates 10, 11, 12 into the upper disc 1 so as to ensure that recesses 15 in the plates 11, 12 through which the fuel and spraying agent issue from the channels 4 register. The plates 10, 11, 12 may be made of copper so as to conduct heat readily from the steam or other spraying agent to the fuel. Two or more burners may be secured one above another on a common fixing bolt formed with spaced projections or fitted with tubular distance pieces.
