Abstract

313,697. Lawrence, J. E. April 21, 1928. Direct air-pressure apparatus, non-automatic; air and gas compressing devices, applications of. -Apparatus for raising beer &c. comprises a compressor 6 which delivers air through a cooling and cleansing liquid in a receiver 1, the liquid being forced by the air pressure through a pipe 7 into an upper tank 8 to provide a hydrostatic head. The air is drawn off through a pipe 4 and reducing valves 17 to the casks 19 and forces the beer &c. through pipes 20 to the tap 21. A float 9 in the tank 8 controls a switch 16 of the motor driving the compressor.
