Abstract

Cleaning, fluid-pressure processes for. - Relates to apparatus for cleaning beer pipes in which a cleaning-solution and rinsing-water are placed in separate reservoirs, and are successively driven through the pipes to be cleaned by carbonic acid or other gas pressure. Arrangement is made whereby the same source of pressure is utilized without switching off for both fluids. The solution and water are placed in vessels a, m respectively, connected by pipes with cocks k, o. Gas under pressure enters as indicated by arrows g, forcing the cleaning- solution up the pipe b to the beer-pipes. The cocks k, o are then opened, and the rinsing- water passes to the vessel a and up the pipe b. In a modification, the vessel a is placed above the vessel b and the two are connected by a single vertical pipe with a cock. When the solution has been driven from the upper vessel, this cock is opened, and the pipe b is pushed through the connecting - pipe into the lower vessel.
