Table desks conbined with seats and the like. -A chair, seat, or the like is provided with one or more detachable folding tables on which is secured an auxiliary table or like member which may serve as a tray, writing-desk or the like, Fig. 1 shows part of a chair seat 5 with arms 6 to which are attcahed a folding-table 7 and an auxiliary table 18, which may be used in a horizontal position on the arm 23 as a tea tray, or in an inclined position as a writing-desk. The table 7 is mounted by means of brackets 12, on a right-angled support 9, 8 in brackets 11 on the chair arm 6, and may be supported in a horizontal position by a strut 14 adapted to. engage with notches 15 in a stop 16; alternately, and as shown, the strut 14 may be used to support the lower end of the table 18, the upper edge of which is connected by a hook-and-eye device 21 with the table 7. A strut 22 is also f.tted to the edge of the table 18 to assist in supporting it. The table 18 may also be conrected at 24, and supported by a triangular flap 25 on hinges 26. In a modification, Fig. 3, the folding table 7 and an auxiliary table 28 are connected by hinges 29, 30, and may be locked in one plane by swinging over a latch 32 to engage with projecting parts 31 of the hinge 30. The tables may be moved to the position shown in dotted lines, or the table 7 may be in that position with the table 28 horizontal, or they may be moved to the full-line position, being rotated about the horizontal member 8.
