Jacquards; timber-boards.-In pile-fabric looms wherein the pile warps are looped over longitudinally extending hooks formed with pile-cutting blades, the pile warp threads are raised by the cumberboard from their lowest to their central position, the cumberboard being tilted when raised by mechanism described to raise the near edgehigher than the front edge and thereby maintain all the pile warps at the same tension.
