Abstract

257,737. Carver Textile Patents, Ltd., and Carver, T. A. B. Aug. 29, 1925. Comber-boards; healds; under-motions; lifting- cords. - To return the warp threads to their lowest position after shedding in a shedding motion of the jacquard or analogous type, the heald or harness cords 10, 6 after passing through a comber-board or section 9 are each attached to a spring 1. These springs are enclosed in containers and anchored to the bottom thereof, the containers being suspended by cords &c. 7, 8 from the comber-board. Each container may comprise a wooden frame 4 bored at the top for the passage of the cords &c. and plates 2, 3 of metal &c. The comber-board sections 9 may be adjustably clamped on two bars 11, 12. The upper end of the healds 5 may be adjustably attached through short cords to clips above the sectional comberboard to enable the harness cords to be removably attached.
