Abstract

312,795. Mulot, M. C. E. May 22, 1928. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Look-out reflectors.-Consists of a combined lamp and mirror carried in the interior of a motor car &c. and capable of a number of different uses. The mirror 1 carries at its upper part an electric lamp 2 shaded by a bent-over portion 3 which is extended to form a handle 4. The combined lamp and mirror slips into the spring retaining-edges 5<2> of a support 5 which has a ball-and-socket connection 6 to a supporting bracket 6<1> and is shaped to contain a spring drum 7 for the lamp flex. The flex enters the mirror at 9 and the two leads are carried round the edge of the mirror to the lamp, a switch being provided at one side. Fig. 3 shows an alternative construction in which a sliding switch 14 is centrally located. With the mirror in its support the device serves as a rear reflector or as an interior light and when detached becomes an inspection lamp or the like.
