Covers for typewriters.- A cover 12 for a typewriter or like machine is secured to its baseboard 7 by spring catches housed in vertical slots in its rear wall and engaging upstanding slotted plates 10 on the baseboard. Each catch comprises a forked member forming the latch 16 and spring 25, which member is secured to an angle plate 14 fitting over the slot in the cover.
