Abstract
311,239. Barnitzke, J. E. May 7, 1928, [Convention date]. Flotation processes.-Oxide ores, particularly tin ores, and sulphide ores which have become superficially oxidized, are treated in aqueous suspension with a reducing agent to effect superficial reduction and are subjected to flotation. The reducing agent is hydrogen or a gas containing hydrogen. The reduction may be effected prior to the flotation treatment, or the reducing gas may be added or generated in the flotation apparatus.
