Electric radiators.-In drying-apparatus using electric radiators as described in the parent Specification, curved reflectors a are mounted in pairs to concentrate the heat on the selvedges of the material before and after clamping it The reflectors a are adjustable laterally on a rod c and vertically on a rod g, which slides on a base plate j. Pairs of reflectors may be locked in position by connecting rods m moved automatically by the clamps. The reflectors a may be carried above the fabric by arms p pivoted on a spindle q attached to the machine so that when it is stopped the reflectors are turned by levers r, s away from the fabric and returned on restarting the machine. The clamp may be continuously heated by insulated resistance wires v in a gutter t arranged on a jaw u as in Fig. 5. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a reference to Specification 225,745. This' subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
