Abstract

311,069. Ball, W. H. April 14, 1928. Draught and push bars. - In perambulators, push chairs, and the like of the kind in which a handle pivotally connected to the sides of the body is adapted to be swung over from its operative position projecting up at one end of the vehicle to a lowered inoperative position lying across the opposite end of the vehicle the handle is held in its operative position by a readily releasable catch comprising a pivotally mounted catch element and an element to be engaged thereby. As shown the catch comprises a stirrup 5 pivoted on one of the bolts clamping the parts of a two-part band clip 4 upon the handle bars 1. The stirrup 5 is hook-shaped in profile, is resilient and is provided with a finger grip 6. The hook-shaped part is adapted to take over the part 3 projecting from the body.
