Abstract
310,656. Curtis Automobile Co., Ltd., and Oglethorpe, E. L. April 25, 1928. Animal-carrying vehicles; doors, cart. -In animal-carrying vehicles of the kind provided with a hinged ramp and doors giving access to the vehicle the doors are so constructed and arranged that when opened they bound a greater effective area than when closed and also adapted to contact with the inclined ramp along the lower edges of the doors. The doors 5, 6 are arranged to close the opening 3 and comprise a panel such as 5a hinged to a door post 7 the part 5 of the door being adapted to move relatively to the panel 5a in the plane of the door so that when open its lower edge may make contact with the ramp 4 and presents no gaps between the door on the one hand and the post 7 and the ramp 4 respectively on the other hand. The part 5 is carried from the post by links 9, 12 and the door is maintained in its erect position when desired by a latch 13 and bar 14 and locked in its operative position by a latch 16 and hasp 17 and a bar 18.
