Abstract
310,162. Yates, H. J., Howlett &. Co., Ltd., M., and Dolphin, J. March 23, 1928. Atmospheric gas burners. -An air inlet regulator of the type comprising a tubular sleeve with air openings, adjustable longitudinally of the burner tube by means of a screw, comprises a sleeve 2 with openings 6, adapted to slide within the end of the burner tube 1 and to be adjusted by a screw 9. In the construction shown, the screw passes through a lug 7 formed by bending the tongue of metal which is removed to form one of the apertures, the walls of a flanged hole in the lug being pressed into a groove formed in the neck of the screw. The screw, the end of which is slotted at 13 and spread in order to exert a frictional grip. engages in a. screwed lug 8 on the burner tube.The outer end of the sleeve 2 is closed except for a central aperture for the gas rupple.
