Abstract
309,122. Waldrich Ges., H. A. April 5, 1928, [Convention date]. Hollow-ware.-The worn surface of an ingot mould is renewed by grinding by means of a grinding-wheel 3 carried by an arm 2 on a slide 1 and driven from a pulley 4 or by an electric motor. The slide is reciprocated through the mould 13, and is moved also in the direction of the arrow 16, Fig. 1, and in the direction of the arrow 17, Fig. 5. The slide 1 moves on a slide 5 hinged at 6 to a bed 7, so that the apparatus may be set to the taper of the mould. The mould is supported on a table 12 adjustable by means of screws 10, 11. The grinding-wheel may be carried by a spring-pressed swinging arm; or the wheel may move on a stationary slide.
