Compound fabrics.-A floor, roof, or wall covering comprises a sheet of rubber and a layer of plain felt fabric made from antiseptically treated pulp attached together by adhesive and pressure and then vulcanized. Instead of plain felt, one or more thicknesses of plain felt and one or more thicknesses of felt impregnated with bitumen or pitch may be used. A sheet of rubber on each side of the plain or composite felt may be used, and hessian, canvas or other fabric may be incorporated in the material.
