Filtering - plant. - Solutions, particularly those used in making artificial fibres, are purified and homogenized by passage through a filter f into which they are forced from a narrow cylindrical vessel v by a toothed-wheel or other pump p, between the suction and pressure sides of which a byepass u with weightcontrolled valve s is provided. The filtrate is returned to the vessel v, which may be provided with a heating or cooling jacket.
