Shoring. - In excavations, trenches, and during the building of retaining walls, the sides are supported by concrete poling boards A arranged, vertically with structural iron bars B covering the vertical joints and supported by walings C. The bars and poling boards remain in the wall E as it is cast. The boards are formed of broken brick concrete with light reinforcing wire.
