Abstract

306,127. Messmer, A. Feb. 17, 1928, [Convention date]. Air supply for combustion.-Air is supplied by a fan to the flue pipe 1 of a furnace or stove 11 through an air-heating nozzle 2 to mix with the escaping gases and consume smoke. The air enters the nozzle through openings 6 in an adjustable distributor 5, passes into a chamber 7 and thence through a second distributor 8 into a chamber 9 provided with internal ribs forming a heating surface and finally passes through apertures 10 into the flue in a heated condition.
