Abstract

303,050. Walter, A. K. Sept. 27, 1927. Folding boxes; Lids.-In a collapsable box or container, the lid 13 is provided with a plurality of side projections 5, Fig. 3, which are adapted to engage bayonet sockets 3 in the end members 6 and to be retained therein by a spring or springs 7, which are compressed by further studs 5 on said lid. As shown in Fig. 1, the bottom 4 of the box may be attached to the ends in a like manner, while the sides 8 are provided with pins 10 adapted to engage slots 3 in the end members and pins to fit in holes in the bottom member. In a modification, Figs. 5 and 6, the ends and sides are pivotally secured to the bottom of the box and are normally held in position by pins 16, while the lid 13 alone is provided with the spring-retained locking means 14.
