Abstract

Device for assembling the elements of removable boxes. This device comprises three elements: -A cylindrical rod (1) machined in the form of a handle (4) in its upper part, in half-rings (5) along its length with two lugs (7) in its lower part. (2) of shape and quantity adapted to the half-rings (5). -A pierced plate (3) allowing the passage of the rod (1) and lugs (7). This set is fixed inside the box, on each vertical angle, held by grooved wooden cleats or metal gussets reinforcing the whole. The user positions the panels around the periphery of the base. By turning the handles, it simultaneously blocks the half-rings (5) in the hooks (2) and the lugs (7) under the plates (3) inserted in the base. This device according to the invention makes it possible to assemble the panels and the base of a demountable box, but can be adapted to any other manufacture requiring rapid assembly or disassembly.

Description

-1- The present invention relates to a device for quickly assembling

the

removable box elements.

  The assembly of the demountable boxes is traditionally done by latches whose closure is relatively long. In addition, these fittings placed outside may be torn off during handling. Other boxes are assembled by means of hinges, but the four sides joined together

  do not always allow easy positioning of the material inside them.

  The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks.

  11 comprises, according to a first characteristic, a cylindrical rod machined so as to form a handle in its upper part, half-rings along its length, and two

pins in its lower part.

  11 also includes hooks adapted to the half-rings, and a pierced plate

  allowing the passage of the rod and the pins.

  This device is placed vertically inside the boxes, at the four angles formed by the side panels. 11 is maintained by wooden cleats or gussets

  which reinforce the whole.

  During assembly, the user positions the sides of the body one by one around the perimeter of the base by inserting the ends of the rods which protrude from the panels in the holes

provided for this purpose.

  By turning the handles a quarter turn, it simultaneously locks the half-rings in the hooks fixed on the adjacent panels and the lugs under the plates inserted in the

  angles of the base at the holes.

  The assembly is locked by clipping each handle into a hook. The demountable body thus constituted comprises a solid base and fixings

  solid interior, quick and easy to use.

  According to particular embodiments:

  - the rod can be of variable length and shape.

  With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a rod (1), held in each interior corner of the box by grooved wooden battens (6) and fixed

  horizontally on the panels (8) so as to serve as guides.

  The upper end of this rod, formed as a handle (4), makes it possible to position its part folded in half-rings (5) in the hooks (2) fixed on each adjacent panel. This rod also has in its lower part lugs (7), which will simultaneously

  block under the pierced plate (3) inserted in the base (9).

  -2- According to a variant not shown, the rod can be held by metal gussets.

  By way of nonlimiting example, the rod will have a diameter of 0.5 cm.

  The device according to the invention makes it possible to assemble the sides and the base of removable boxes, but it can also be adapted to other manufacturing

  requiring rapid assembly or disassembly.

Claims (6)

  1) Device for assembling the elements of demountable boxes, characterized in that it comprises three parts: - A cylindrical rod (1) of variable diameter and length, formed so as to constitute a handle (4) in its upper part, half-rings (5) along its length and lugs (7) in its lower part.   - Hooks (2) of shape and quantity adapted to the half-rings (5).   -A pierced plate (3) allowing the passage of the rod (1) and the pins (7).   2) Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the rod (1) is held inside each corner of the body by grooved wooden battens (6), or metal gussets.   3) Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the hooks (2) are   fixed inside the box on the adjacent panels.   4) Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the pierced plate (3),   under which the lugs (7) lock, is inserted in each corner of the base (9).   5) Device according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that the handle (4) makes it possible, by turning it, to block the half-rings (5)   in the hooks (2) and simultaneously the pins (7) under the plate (3).   6) Device according to any one of the preceding claims,   characterized in that the handle (4) after assembly is immobilized by a hook (2).
