Abstract

The peg for joining together perforated plates acts like a rivet, but may be inserted without hammer action. The peg includes a head (7), shaft (9) and foot (8). The foot is not circular but is approximately rectangular so that it may be inserted through a slotted opening in plate to be retained, and rotated. The underside of the head has a tapering conical section, corresponding to a similar section on the upper surface of the foot. Rotation of the peg through a quarter turn locks it in place, causing slight deformation of the perforated plates. USE - Linking together perforated plates used to form cable conduit.
