199,921. Nasmith, J. I. May 26, 1922. Knock-down boxes; lids; tampering with, preventing.-A collapsable packing-case &c., adapted to prevent pilfering, comprises a collapsable rectangular frame which forms the ends and sides, a separate lid and bottom which are sprung into engagement with grooves, slots &c. provided on the frame and means for holding the parts together. In one form these means comprise a band B which is secured around the middle of the case by wires W which are passed through eyelets E in the 'lid C and bottom D and have their ends sealed. In a modification, a plate P of section shown in Fig. 13 is inserted in slots L in the lid and bottom and is secured therein by wires W. In light cases the band B or plate P may be dispensed with, the lid and bottom being held together by the wires only. The rectangular frame may be formed of one or more pieces of cardboard, or may be of wood, the sides being hinged to the ends.
