Abstract

302,789. Potter, F. Nov. 22, 1927. Wire fabrics.-The wire ropes c of a flexible net used as a cargo, torpedo, submarine, shark, or large fishing net. or a boom, are firmly gripped at their points of intersection by a pair of discs a placed respectively below and above the ropes and secured together by rivets d &c. The discs may be U-shaped in section and grooved to receive the ropes. The hollow disc formed thereby may be strengthened by integral or loose fillings in the rivet holes, or by using rivets with enlarged shanks. Solid rings may be used, or dishshaped rings forming a hollow circular box cut away to receive the ropes, or the discs may comprise dome-shaped plates.
