Abstract

229,040. Butterfield, C. S. Dec. 13, 1923. Netted fabrics and netting.- A net is composed of continuous longitudinal and transverse flexible wire or other ropes a, b connected at the points of intersection by discs c which are formed with oppositely arranged series of perforations d, e, and which are grooved beyond and in the region of the perforations to receive the ropes. One series of grooves g is formed in the upper face of the discs and the other series not shown, in the lower face. The discs may be cruciform, circular, oval or square-shaped and the circular form may be provided with an annular rim which also is grooved in line with the perforations. In a further modification, Fig. 18, the discs, instead of being grooved, are crimped in line with the perforations.
