Abstract

189,078. Mullin, E. M. Aug. 21, 1922. Boxing and like appliances.-The ropes 5 forming the " ring " are stretched between inclined posts 2 secured on opposite sides of the platform 1, so that the corners of the "ring" are formed by the ropes crossing one another and it is impossible for the boxers to come into contact with the supports. The posts are socketed either in the platform itself, as shown, or in brackets attached thereto. The ropes are passed through holes 3 bored through the posts and these holes, owing to their inclination, tend to grip the ropes.
