Abstract

301,930. Esau, A., and Lorenz Akt.- Ges., C. Dec. 8, 1927, [Convention date]. Thermionic generators.- Substances are treated with an oscillating electric field of a wave-length of ten meters or less, for such purposes as promoting chemical reactions, separating dust from gases &c. A thermionic valve 1 is employed and the oscillations are produced by the reaction of two circuits, one containing the plate 2, the grid 3, and a condenser 5 between the plates of which the substance to be treated flows, and the other the grid 3 and cathode 4. Several such circuits may be arranged in series or parallel or combined with means for treating the substance with an oscillating magnetic field of similar period. Specifications 127,918, [Class 1 (i). Chemical processes &c.], 251,134, 279,821, 297,713 and 301,929 are referred to.
