Abstract

301,612. Sykes, J. J. Oct. 26, 1927. Caravans; collapsable vehicles. - Trailers adapted for use as caravans comprise a body part mounted on an axle and springs, sockets and brackets secured to the ends of the body, vertical uprights adapted to support a covering, brackets on the sides supporting side extensions and members pivotally mounted to increase head room. As shown the side members 11 forming mattresses 12 are hinged to the body sides and supported by brackets 13. The members have pivoted end pieces 15 adapted to be connected by bars 17 which uprights 8 connected by a bar 9 are erected in sockets 6 and brackets 7. An awning 18 is mounted as shown.
