Label holders.-The opening tab or flap of a handbag, purse or the like is provided with an identification card bearing the owner's name and address or other information. The " card " may be of cardboard. celluloid, ivory, &c. and may be visible directly when exposed or may be viewed through a window of celluloid &c. Fig. 1 shows the tab 2 of a bag raised to show an opening 3 behind which an identification card 1 is visible, the card being held in place by stitching 4. If the tab be of looped form the opening may be provided in one of the inner faces. In some cases a slit is provided through which the card may be slipped into position. Fig. 4 shows a method of forming the opening, the edges 13<a> of which are folded inwardly and secured by stitching or adhesive, with an intervening stiffening frame or member 15, to the front face of the card. A lining or stiffening 16 is interposed between the front and rear faces of the flap.
