301,486. Kunstd³nger-Patent-Verwertungs-Akt.-Ges., (Assignees of Liljenroth, F. G.). Dec. 1, 1927, [Convention date]. Manures.-A mixture of calcium nitrate and ammonium nitrate is produced by treating with nitric acid the calcium carbonates obtained when calcium sulphate is treated with ammonia and carbon dioxide, a portion of the ammonium sulphate formed in the latter reaction being left in admixture with the calcium carbonate. The solution of calcium nitrate and ammonium nitrate contains calcium sulphate which may be separated before the solution is evaporated.
