Abstract

301,177. Quinn, r., and Wild, L. Oct. 29, 1927. Dust collectors.-A pipe conveying cotton pneumatically, or traversed by dust-laden air &c., is provided with a baffle c immediately before a perforated portion d of the pipe, through which portion the dust from the cotton, air &c. is forced by the swirling motion imported to it by the baffle into a surrounding dust box e, while the cleaned cotton &c. passes on. The pipe may be flared at both ends towards the dust separating portion. Inspection doors are provided.
