Abstract
301,065. Bugatti, E. Nov. 24, 1927, [Convention date]. Radiators, motor-car and like.-Waste of water through the overflow pipe d due to sudden surging, for example when the vehicle slows down or stops abruptly, is prevented by the provision of a chamber b and a float valve e at the top of the radiator. In normal running the parts are as shown, but should the water surge upwards the valve e is floated up to close the opening a. Water may then enter the chamber b slowly through small holes c, and flow back when the float falls.
