Abstract

300,074. Brew, A. March 30, 1928. Moving-chamber apparatus. -In apparatus of the type comprising a measure C, which is normally submerged in the liquid in a container, and is raised in order to effect the discharge of the measured quantity, the discharge valve F is formed separate from the measure and does not commence to open until the measure has been lifted above the level of the liquid in the container. The valve F has a hollow stem, through which the liquid discharges, and is controlled by a spring E, confined between a collar J on the valve stem and a collar H on the stem of the measure. The vessel to be filled is lifted into contact with the collar J, further movement lifting the measure C. The valve F does not open until the collar H comes into contact with the bearing G. A number of measures C may be mounted in a single rotating container.
