Abstract

299,986. Andrew, T. Oct. 14, 1927. Air, moistening.-In a humidifying system of the kind described in Specification 246,589, the control of liquid to the atomizers is effected by air pressure resulting from the opening or closing of a leak port in a compressed air pipe. The hygroscopic strands a are secured between an adjustable slide b and a part c pivoted to a weighted lever d which actuates a small valve or leak port f<1> on the top of a fitting f through which air from a pipe g can escape; the pipe g is connected through a valve h with a compressed air main i. The pipe g is connected to one side of a diaphragm in a fitting n which actuates a valve to open or close communication between the main i and a pipe p. The air pressure in the pipe is utilized to control a diaphragm valve supplying liquid to the atomizers. Jets j draw moist air over the hygroscopic material.
