Closures completed by outstanding packing-rings ; stoppers with valves. - A stopper for bottles and phials comprises two elements a, b adapted to be moved towards each other, to compress a rubber ring c disposed between them, by means of a central rod q which engages beneath the lower block b by means of a nut i and is formed as its upper end with a flange e adapted to engage a disc f disposed above a rotatable disc or cam member g. Cams g<1> on the underside of the disc g engage cams h<1> on a cap h secured to the element a to lift up the rod q and compress' the rubber ring c, the compression taking place against the action of a spiral spring k disposed in a recess c<1> in the rubber ring and abutting against the element a and the bottom of the recess. As shown, the rod q is hollow and is provided with a sprinkler stopper r.
