Axle - trucks and bogies.-In an articulated locomotive means are provided to take up the wear of the pivotal centre by means of renewable or adjustable blocks. The pivotal centre comprises a spigot A and socket B; wearing blocks D being inserted in the socket, the former being secured by bolts F and adjusted by liners G. Bolts or lugs H prevent the blocks from lifting. The wearing blocks may be provided without adjustment means. In a modification the wearing blocks are adjusted by means of a wedge operated by a screw and nut. The spigot may be fitted with a renewable wearing ring J and a solid or split ring may be placed between the wearing block D and the spigot. The wearing block D may be provided with a flange.
