Abstract
298,295. Ring, A. July 21, 1927. Window holders, - A window - sash fastener comprises a rack bar K<1> secured to the stile of the top sash and engaged by a catch M carried on a bracket A secured to the meeting rail of the bottom sash, the catch being locked in position by a small catch L pivoted to catch M at E. The catch L has a spur B engaging a notch B<1> in the bracket when in looked position, Fig. 7, the spring G<1> holding the catch M when in running position, Fig. 8. In the free position, Fig. 9, the point C of the catch L engages a recess C' in the bracket A to hold the catch M clear of the rack.
