Abstract

297,546. Johnson, J. Y., (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt. Ges.). July 27, 1927. Ammonium phosphates.-Alkali-metal or ammonium phosphates are prepared from di-ealcium phosphate by agitating it with alkali or ammonium fluorides in the presence of water. The solution is filtered and concentrated to separate the phosphate as di-alkali or ammonium phosphate. The separation may be assisted by addition of methanol to the solution. Phosphoric acid, or alkali or ammonia may be added to the solution to obtain mono- or tri-phosphates.
